Dear Bob:

I am looking forward to participating in the January 15
consultation, and I hope to be able to participate on the 16th too.

However, I have had second thoughts about the use of a
videotape of my participation. I don't object to the videotaping
itself, but I am worried about taking part in a propaganda movie
against artificial intelligence, and therefore I must impose some
conditions on the use of videotapes of my participation.

	It is possible that
conversation with the people who are doing the videotaping and
learning about their previous work would convince me of their fairness.

Apart from that possibility, it seems to me that I would be
satisfied with either of the following:

	1. The right to approve the fairness of the final product.

	2. The condition that my participation be presented in full
with my initial speech presented without
interruption or with only such cuts as I approve. That there be no
"instant refutation" except that which occurs during the session
itself.

I do not wish to be unreasonable and will consider any
alternatives that are suggested. However, my experience
with television producers has been bad. My participation turns out
to be an illustration of some point the producer wishes to make
rather than the production being a presentation of the points the
participants, myself included, wish to make.
